Cleaning up Windows95 without Uninstall

Windows95 (upgrade version) crashed badly. When reinstalled I discovered remnants of IE 3.02 and 5.0. Can’t install either one. Uninstall won’t work. What files and registry/ini entries do I need to remove manually?
Also, drivespace is there, and says it won’t andle drives over 500MB. I need ver 3. When trying to install it says a later version is already there. How do I get rid of the existing one?
