CMOS checksum error- defaults loaded

Hi,
This error message is coming up after a W95 reinstall.”Cmos checksum error-defaults loaded” I have swapped the CMOS baterry 3 times and it still comes up. I have reset the default cmos settings and still it comes up. Where should I be looking now?
