I don’t know if anybody else has encountered this problem, but here goes: I run an ALTHION 1 GHz processor. I begin the day by firing up the CPU. I’m on the computer for 1.5-2 hours when all of a sudden my cpu just shuts down, I lose everything.I have to do a cold shutdown. I wait approx. 20-30 mins. & start computer again. However, the problem re-surfaces again. Only now, the interval shortens. My computer operates this time for approx. 45 mins. & again shuts down. On subsequent start ups, the time interval considerable shortens again. I’ve replaced my processoe fan with a larger one but this hasn’t solved the problem. I’ve considered replacing my power supply but this is a sizable monetary expense. I’ve already re-formatted my hard drive & that didn’t fix this problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. pemanisky@aol.com
