Compaq HP Merger

Anyone have any thoughts on the impact of our industry if the HP Compaq merger goes through? I would hate to have to shop for a new verdor.

I think that if they do merge, (Ive been through a major corporate merger myself, disaster) they will have to focus on what each one does best and scrap the business lines that are redundant, keeping the best from each company (HP Printing, Compaq Servers, Etc..).

Customer service is going to be the key to keeping a loyal customer base. I don’t think they will be able to do so.

I went through a major corporate merger several years ago that became a turf battle with posturing for position with the attempt to get the leg up on your rival, I mean new partner.
