computer dead.

I am literally going out on my mind. I have tried everything i can think of to make this thing work. Let me explain what happened

I booted the pc. walked away. it locked. could not three finger salute my way out of it so i hit the restart button. ever since, the pc will not even run the post process. it almost behaves as if the bios was completely wiped.

I have tried pulling and reseating all peripherals, cpu, and ram. I systematically removed and readded all peripherals to try to find a malfunctioning device. nothing has worked.

my hardware includes, asus a7v mother board with duron 750mhz running at 100mhz busspeed.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
