Computer frozen

My computer froze and i was unable to use the mouse and everything. I tried Cntrl Alt Del and that didnt work. My only other choice was to manually shut it down. When i went to reboot it nothing happened. All the lights came on but nothing showed up on the screen. I tested the monitor and it wasnt it. Could someone help me troubleshoot.
