computer shuts down

hi all,
i have a serious problem with my comp. Though I am an engineer, i am unable to solve this out. I have a dialup connection with my desktop. Whenever I get a call, my comp gets shutdown rather getting only disconnected to internet. Can anyoneplseas help me what should I do ?
