Convert AutoCAD to Visio 2000

I have a AutoCAD 2000 .DWG and I need to convert it to Visio 2000 .VSD. Everytime I try ungroup it, it gives me an error
“An error (928) occured during the action Ungroup.
???”
I have searched Microsoft (Visio was purchased by Microsoft).
