Convert files to jpeg for Intranet site

I have approximately 900 report files of various formats (.xls, txt,rep) that I want to be able to view on an intranet site. Some are a page or 2, others are much longer. What is the easiest method to covert to jpg format? The .xls format is okaybecause it can be viewed by the Browser on the client.

Possible options:
Open the file, copy, paste into app (such as Paint), save as jpg. Acrobat can also be used.

Are there any other solutions?
