Creative SoundBlaster128 popping sound

I installed a creative Sound Blaster card on a Windows Me computer. The sound card seemed fine until I burnt the first cd. After burning the first cd I found that when I play a cd on any of the three cd drives there is a
popping/ skipping sound. Two of the drives are brand new so I know the drives are not the problem. I have tried to get to the creative web site to locate information but the site appears to be down. When I play an mp3 I have no popping or skippig sounds. Any suggestions wouldbe gretly appreciated
