digital audio-analog audio

I have a sound blaster pci512 card, and a
creative cd-rw1210e cd drive, and a
creative-matshita 24+ drive with audio cable attached. I am running windows me
my problem is i hear sound when “digital only” is checked in windows media player. if I try to uncheck it i get no sound.
also in the device manager the properties for both cd. drives. the digital only box is greyed out with a check mark for digital only. how do i get it play an audio cd in analog mode
