I have tried everything from original settings to changing to netbeu. Always making sure all the settings are the same in both WinMe systems. It says that the is a direct cable connection in the Device Manager modems. I have downloaded and tried alltypes of programs besides the DCC such as FastLynx Star Gate DPM by Parallel Tech., DCShare,Fx32Demo. I don’t have dos to run Interlnk and Interserv. I have bought both a null modem serial cable and from another store a parallel lpt transfer cable. These will not work. The host keeps asking if the guest is running and the guest keeps saying that it cannot connect to the host computer, to make sure I have DCC running on host and that cable is connected. No other programs work either to establishany connection at all. Both the serial ports on both systems work with mouse and game hardware, both pcs can run the printer. The system does reserve the ports for the transfer as I have to reconfigure the printer when I plug it back in and have to uninstall DCC and reconfigure my modem to connect to internet even though the modem has it’s own port. Any ideas?
