Direct Memory Access Controller

My Device manager shows a conflictwith the
Direct Memory Access Controller as follows:
Device Status
“The VDMAD.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver
(Code2)
To fix this,click Update Driver to update the device driver.”

When I did that Windows searched for and installed the driver.After rebooting
the same message appeared,and when I tried again to install the driver,Windows
said, the driver is already installed.But the device manager still shows the
conflict.
Any ideas???
