Disable printer in NT Hardware Profile

Can a printer be disabled in an NT hardware profile? I have a user who has a printer on a home network. When he brings his laptop to work and prints, many times his system hangs looking for the home networked printer. It eventually times out and he can print, but it is frustrating waiting for the time-out. He has three hardware profiles on his laptop and would like to disable the printer in the Work profile.
