DMA Modes

Hi there, this is my first post and would really like some help on this please.

I have installed a CD writer for a friend, which seems to install fine. I can read Cd’s from the CD Rom and the CD writer. But when I go into the EasyCD creator software it will not see anything on the CD Rom. I have checked the properties in both the CD Rom and CD Writer and the DMA does not seem to exist. So my question is how do I get install it, so it shows in the property box
