I am currently dealing with the issue of dwindling space on our NT file server. We currently do not have any policy in effect which addresses retention of documents on the server or how long documents will be maintained there until they are removedto other media or deleted. Is there any network software available which can search for documents not accessed for a specified period of time (i.e. one year) and generate related reports? I would like to be able to provide the document owners witha listing of their documents not accessed or modified for that time period and allow them to designate which files should be removed from the server or deleted. I know Windows 2000 Server has this capability, but we do not plan to upgrade from NT at any time in the near future. Any suggestions?
