DOES NOT BOOT?

I have an Intel D815EEA motherboard. I try to boot to the floppy so i can test the hard drive for physical damages. No success. I set the bios to boot to the floppy first but it still skips it and wants to boot into windows. Of course the windows is not going to boot because the drive may be damaged. Thats why i want to test the drive. I have more than one problem here don’t I ?!! Does anyone have a clue to what my problem is?
