In an effort to repair a friends system. I disconnected some of my own drives an plugged hers in mine. When I reconnected my own hardware something wasnt right. things seemed a little slow and my cd-rom could not be found. it was getting power but no matter what I tried it would not show that I had an “e” drive. The CDROM(e drive) has since reappeared, But, although I am able to function now I have many conflicts. Under hard disk controllers it says: Primary IDE Controller (dual fifo) Secondary IDE Controller (dual fifo) Standard IDE/ESDI hard disk controller. and under System Devices I have a conflict at Advanced Power Management Support. When I go into performance it states that Drives C,D and E are using ms-dos mode compatibility mode file system. What did I do wrong here? I tried to update the drivers for each but it said I already had the best ones. I checked that all my connections were good. How serious is this? What can be done?
