driver dillema

I have a Patriot computer system I recently had to format the c drive. Now on my display options I only have a choice of 2 or 16 colors not 16 true or 256. I have removed the cover of my unit but can’t find a graphics card any ideas on how to restore my previous settings or find the manufacturer of my card so I can download the proper drivers . Thanks
