DSL connectivity w/ Raptor Mobile (VPN)

I recently purchased a DSL modem and found that I cannot connect to my network via a VPN connection. I was told by Tech Support that I had to un-install the VPN application, install the DSL software and re-install the VPN application. This did not work. If Anyone has experienced this please let me in on the secret.
