DSL Problems

I purchased a new Dell 766 with 256 RAM in preparation for DSL. I have problems with the screeen freezing while online with DSL. It works fine with a dialup connection. I performed all of the registry tweaks suggested by by others. It helped butI still have this problem. Dell has been no help whatsoever.

Any suggestions?
