DSL Router connection

by thestudent . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

I recently purchased a Linksys Wireless Switch that comes complete with a “WAN” connection port for DSL input. Unfortunately, the DSL input seems to be for an RJ45 connector and not the RJ14 connector found on the telephone line. Do I need an extra piece of equipment to connect into the WAN port on the switch? If so, any recommendations?

The Wireless Switch is connected into the remainder of my home network and is working well. I love connecting to the home network using the wireless. Currently, I use WinProxy to share the DSL connection; however, I am tired of turning on the WinProxy PC and want the Linksys switch to do the work.

Thank you for any help you can provide, I can use it 🙂
