Easicleaner Utility

I downloaded a utility that was advertised in Techrepublic called ‘Easicleaner’. It’s a little utility to clean up invalid references from uninstalled applications in the Win9x/Winnt registry. It apparantly has been downloaded by quite a few Techrepublic members.

I have come across a fair number of freeware programs, however, that contain Trojan Horse viruses.

Has anybody used this utility? What are your opinions of it? Is it Trojan free?
