environmentally safe hardware disposal

We have some old equipment that no longer functions that needs to be disposed of. Primarily these are monitors, but there are a few pc’s and misc hardware pieces as well. Can anyone tell me how to go about disposing these in an environmentally safe manner? I haven’t been able to find any local recycling places. Thanks!
