I got a serial cable for my CellPhone Ericsson R289LX. This phone has an internal modem and I was able to connect it to my laptop using the attached .inf file(http://www.pc-counselor.8m.com/bin/EriR280.inf). That’s all I needed: The .inf file and a serial cable from the
cell to the serial port of my laptop.
The question is how I should change the pda registry in order to recognize the cellphone has en external modem? I found some information in MS web site about how to create a new set of registry keys for an external modem. But I
tried without any luck. Could somebody be more specific and help me in this
matter?
If you analyze the .inf all this file does is to change the windows register in the PC.
