I am currently in the process of testing Win2000 and I have experienced a problem when using it with Pal 4.1.1. It works fine if the machine is built with Win2000 from scratch. However, when upgrading from win98 to 2000, Pal cannot work and the following error occurs when pressing ‘connect’:
Cannot load phonebook.
error 621: The system could not open the phone book file.
I tried updating the phone book which I could do, but it still didn’t help when trying to dial in, it does at leastshow that the modem is working and can dial to one of your numbers. I have reinstalled Pal and
even upgraded to version4.12 but again with no luck. This problem has occured on all the machines that were upgraded. Has anybody experienced a problem like this?
