Peer to peer environment was set up with only two pcs. Purpose was to share HP 4050 printer. Printer is local for pc1 and network for pc2. Printer works very well from data sent by pc2, both DOS and windows programs. PC2 is a Win98 setup.
Pc1 isa different story. Whenever the print command is executed pc1 hangs up with message asking whether I want to close or continue and loose data. It won’t close, but after sever bangs on the continue choice, it tells me about HPBFDB1.DRV and proceedsto work fine from then on. Pc1 has an ME os.
Is HPBFDB.DRV from hp or is it an MS thing? Is the problem incompatibility with ME?
Printer cable is old. Could it be some kind of 1/2 duplex nonsence.
