Error messages in Access

One of my users gets the following error messages when he tries to run queries within an access database:

‘ODBC–call failed’

‘[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Communication link failure (#0)’

The user is working from his own work stationtoo, so i would be very grateful if anyone could help
