Excel 2000–Blue screen crash–when savi

I have a user that has problems with Excel 2000 blue screen crashing when he tries to save a document. He goes to file save as…then when he hits save it immediatly crashes. I uninstalled and reinstalled office 2000, installed SR-1a and also upgraded IE to the latest version. This did not help. I do not know what else to do other that reinstall Windows 98. I really don’t want to do that.
