Excel Open problem

I have a farily complex and large spreadsheet that I can’t open. Last evening I worked on it for 3 hours and no problems. I brought it in to work this morning and attempted to open it I get the following messages:

Exception access: violation (oxc0000005, Address: 0x300a5fld).

I went back home and attempted to open it and same problems.

Are their tools out there to fix excell files like this or somehow recover. Any help would be very much appreciated.
