Explorer shutdown in different programs

When trying to open Windows Works 3.0 on my 233MHZ desktop (WINDOWS 98) i receive a dialog box saying that either/both the program/app. i am opening and/or Explorer has caused an invalid default in KRN32.DLL and will now shut down.

I am also still using Inset program Hijack Design Suite, which has the same result…please also beaware that even after this dialog appears and i click “ok” the program i wish to use still operates.
