failure to access partition

Hi there,
I have partitioned my 17 gig hard drive and had WINME on C: and WIN XP on D: Yesterday I started the computer and it came up with the message NTLDR missing. I tried everything I could and eventually did a sys C: to get it working again.The trouble is now I cannot find any XP or the other drive. I know it is there because the C: drive is showing the correct size. I went into fdisk, partition magic and still cannot locate it.
Could someone please give some advice.
