Fast Internet Access

I seem to have quite a slow connection to the internet through our ISDN, looked through google to try and find some answers. One of the answers I found was a company called Beam Direct they have a web site explaining they have a large satellite which is 5-6 times quicker than ISDN and 10-12 times quicker than a modem. I don’t understand whether this is possible just wondered if any others would look at the site (www.beam-direct.com and tell me if I am missing anything. They have sold it to me but not really knowing anything about this I don’t want to waste even more of my time or money. Could you help?
