Fatal Exception

In the process of installing the 3dfx Voodo
update I get the following blue screen,
after the driver loads 70%. “A Fatal
exception OE has occurred at
0028:C0088B6B in VxD SYMEvent (02) +
00009943. The current application will be
terminated” The update has previously
loaded sucessfully. How do I decipher the
message and how do I solve the
problem. Any serious help would be
appreciated THANKS in advance.
