fax servers

We have recently installed 2 biscom 5000 fax servers that will not pick up when called. The phone system is run through a Lucent Definity switch. Now I have connectivity between the 2 closets and I know that the 2 systems are seeing each other. Lucent remotely dialed into the switch and looked at the configuration, they said their end is set up as it should be. Both systems are set up with wink/wink protocals and DID, directed inbound dialing, but when called, the fax servers don’t seem to want to pick up the phone. I know this is some-what general, but numerous things have been tried and we are willing to see any answers.
