Getting DSN Error message

When trying to connect to my cable internet I am getting the following message:
res://C:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm

I do not have the faintest of clues as to what this might mean. I have gone back thru the set-up for my NIC card and the setup procedures from the cable company and all settings are as instructed. I have 2 other computers that work fine.
