I am having some major problems with building my new system. I’m running a AMD Athlon 1.3Ghz with 1Gb SDRAM on a ASUS K7133 board. I installed my Chaintech Gforce2 MX 400 AGP card, ran the drivers and when I restart Win98 it reports the graphics arenot setup correctly and crashes to a cursor flashing in the top left corner. I’ve tried installing the latest drivers from both the manufactuer and Nvidia’s sites. I then tried Win2000. Ran the CD driver install again and this time it worked and I configured my graphics fine, installed Creative Live 1024, was accepted, then my Modem. When I rebooted I got the same problem was with win98. I’ve removed the modem and drivers, I’ve even tried reformatting the machine and reinstalling the graphics but it still goes blank after running the loading windows2000 screen. Ok in safe and VGA enable mode. I’m getting really stuck now. I need some help. Can’t work out how it works one minute and then nothing now. Please Help…..
