Hard drive failure

On a Penium III, with windows 2000. I rebooted up my PC, and I heard a ticking sound coming from my hard drive, I tried booting it up again, still same problem. On the bios screen, hard drive failure error message appeared. I would like to save the information on my hard drive. I almost sounded like the stylus was stuck. Thanks for your responces
