Hard Drive Problem

I have a 1.6 GB hard drive that was a slave when I installed a 30 GB hard drive using Max Blast (EZBIOS) software. Now I want to use this drive Independently. Removing MaxBlast, Reformatting,Ect. did not work. The drive seems to still respond as a slave drive, even though the jumper and on board bios is set correctly. Help please. Mark
