Ok here is the deal… I have just bought a AMD 1700+ XP which has:
Elite K7s5a Mobo
256 mg ddr ram
hercules game theater xp sound card and box
ge-force 2 mx400 Tv out
liteon dvd
burner 16 12 40
microsoft sidewinder 2 force feedback joystickps2 mouse
hp internet keyboard
with 2 hard drives a 40g and a 1.2 (which is blank)
There is also and on board sound card.. sis 635
I am having a lot of problems with windows 98 se
and XP I had so many problems with xp i got rid of it and wentback to 98 se I boot up and the bios does its stuff.. then when windows goes to load the drivers all hell breaks loose or nothing happens, either it will just hand and stay like that.. or it will boot into windows and then i get lots of errors and blue screens of death. I have tried everything i can think of I have reinstalled numerous time with formats.. and no luck.. I have a fair idea about what i am doing but i fear i am in too deep.. can someone please give me some info on how to fix this problem.. I AM DESPERATE!!! lol
