Hardware profiles

I just installed a new image on an IBM t21 laptop.
I had to create two hardware profiles to match the old computer. now when a profile is selected I get a Bluescreen which says ” WINDOWS IS UNABLE TO DETECT YOUR HARDWARE CONFIGURATION” it promts meto verify which hardware configuration I am using and then it works fine. haow can I remove the blue screen and what causes this?
