Help!! Installing CD Rom after HD format

I recently formatted my HD since I have a lot of corrupted files. I created a system disk .. I copy the MCSDEX.exe My question is the step to install the CDROM I can’t seem to make it work… do I need any driver for it. My computer is a ACER notebook 370 lite
