Home Networking

by fonaset . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

Hello, I am running a home network which comprises of five computers with different operating systems. These are:

1.Ms Windows Server 2000 (Server)
2.Ms Windows 98 SE (Client)x2 computers
3.Ms Windows ME (Client)x2 computers
4.Internet connection Sharing (ADSL)

They are all up and running but the problem is that when ever I want to access the Ms windows 2000 server from the client computers running Windows 98 and Windows Millennium, it always displays the follownig messages:

You must supply a password to make this connection:
RESOURCE: \\FONASET1/IPC$
PASSWORD: **************

I carefully entered the password all in lower cases but it displays error messages that “the password was not recognises”. But I can access the rest of the client computers from the Win2000 serever without any problem.

Now, how can I be able to access the server computer from the client computers successfully?

Thanks and hoping to hear from you.
