How can I correct a “fatal exception”

My NEC Ready 9909 (252mb)PC stops functioning everytime I open Real Player with the following blue screen message: A fatal exception has occured at 0028: C16C4AE8 in VXD GTVXD (01) + 00001658. The current application will be terminated. How do I fix this?
