How Do I Restore Missing Drives?

Both my CD-ROM and CD-RW drives are missing
from My Computer & Windows Explorer. I have
gone into the BIOS and they do not show there
either.I have checked all cables etc and power is on these drives as the tray opens etc. Everything was fine andthen these two drives just disappear. How can I restore these drives?
