HP CDWriter 7200e & Win2k

I’m trying to install a 7200e on a PC running Win2k. I downloaded the firmware & driver update from HP.com.

What happens : Win2k systematically boots when the CDWR is plugged.

Only way I made it recognized : I plugged it after booting, launched the new hardware detection (after drivers installation), when finish, it recognizes the CDWR as a CD-ROM (creates an icon in My computer) but if I try to use it, it crashes.

I tryed many combinations. For example I installed Win2k SP1, …

Can someone help ?
