HP deskjet has issues with Windows 2000

I have a PC running Win2000 Professional. Recently the HP deskjet 952 has decided to sporatically mess up print jobs. It will print a document just fine, then if I need to reprint it, I may only get the first half. If it is a 3 page doc, I might get all of page one, the top 4 lines of page 2, and 3/4 of page of page 3. These print jobs are simple text, no graphics. For another example, I just printed 2 test pages as soon as the computer was booted up. The first one printed 2/3 of the test page, and the second had the whole document.
I deleted the driver and reloaded the driver from HP’s website. This did not solve the problem. HELP!!!!
