HP Deskjet & Iomega Zip Drives

When I print from a HP 890c or 940 then try to access my zip drive 100mb it tells me that the zip disk is not formatted and asks to format it. It has data on it. Just for testing purposes I was going to let it format it and then it gives the message that it could not access it. This is a constant problem. Installing the newest drivers did not help. I’m running Windows 98 and this is on a network.
