HP Deskjet Slows Computer

I have an HP DeskJet 1120c printer which I am attempting to install on my lan via an HP JetDirec EX external print server. I can get the thing on, I have the queue objec, server object, and printer object created. The user can print to it. All isfine except that after the user has printed, her system remains running extremely slow. We’ve upgraded her system hardware to a PII 450 with 96 MB RAM and it didn’t help. There are three techs who have been working on this for way too long and we would appreciate any help you can offer.
