HP p4 2.2GHz Halt saying Fan Failure

Have a HP p4 2.2GHz running winXP 60 days old. On boot, one time only, I got a halt saying ‘CPU Fan Failure – Replace Immediately’. I shut down and then booted again and never got the halt again. Anyone heard of this fault?
